Mastering ’Spaceballs’ (1987)

Here comes our third installment of movies we LOVE for February, Cinemaster Fans. This episode is Ron’s second pick and one of Mel Brooks’ most notable flicks of all time. It’s the go to space spoof with quotable lines you might even recognize in our theme song! Brook teams up with comedy legends John Candy and Rick Moranis to bring you Spaceballs! This 80’s masterpiece is filled with take offs from some of your favorite sci-fi properties of all time and even after all these years the laughs hold up even if you don’t have the power of the Schwartz. Mastering ’Donnie Darko’ (2001)

The month of movies we love is in full effect now, Cinemaster fans! We are back with our second installment and this time around we are talking the Cult Classic film from 2001, Donnie Darko. A breakthrough performance for Jake Gyllenhaal that enthralled a generation of movie lovers with its intricate twists and turns through complex topics like tangent universes, time travel and Sparkle Motion. Make sure no one has any reason to doubt your commitment to the Cinemasters by tuning in for this episode where we discuss trivia, tunes and 6 foot tall imaginary rabbits. I’m starting to wonder if maybe Adam has a thing for movies where the main character has a bunny best friend? Mastering ’Napoleon Dynamite’ (2004)

Welcome back Cinemaster Fans! After an extended hiatus of 8 seasons in the Octagon, we have returned and are coming out of the gate hot with tot action! We’ve got all the chapstick your lips can take no matter how bad they hurt and these AREN’T from the school nurse’s desk. We’re taking you all the way back to 2004 to Preston, Idaho for the indie classic Napoleon Dynamite, but don’t worry we didn’t forget to put the crystals in the time machine. Whether you’ve been home chatting with babes online all day, making a video about throwing a pigskin a quartermile, or hunting wolverines with a friggin 12 gauge, this movie has just what you need. So grab your boondoggle keychain (a MUST have for this season’s fashion), hop on your Huffy Sledgehammer and fix yourself a dang quesadilla as our Cinemasters run through their favorite moments in this oh so quotable gem. The only question left to ask is how are you feelin’ about this 32 piece set as we kick off 2022’s first episode of CINEMASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE!!!

Mastering ‘Ghostbusters Afterlife‘ (2021)

Welcome Back Cinefansters to a very special episode of the Cinemasters of the Universe! This episode is definitely pulling out all the stops by bringing in not one, but two guest Cinemasters. The Bitgeek Podcast’s Prince of Pixels, Nick Wright, lends his extensive Ghostbusters expertise as he weighs in on his impression of the new film. Plus the debut of Junior Cinemaster, Logan Avis, the rightful heir to the Rental Kingdom. I suppose that makes him the Rental Prince. Sure is an awful lot of royalty in this particular episode. What happens when we die or more importantly, what comes with us if we don’t follow the light into the tunnel but come back to life? Our Cinemasters will see how some of the hottest up and coming stars of the early 90’s tackle this question as they try not to get a severe beating from a very deceased Billy Mahoney. Mastering ‘Saw‘ (2004)

We’d like to play a game, Cinemaster fans. We’re midway through the Cinemasters Spooktacular II and it looks like we just woke up in a creepy bathroom chained to a pipe so that must mean we’re talking all things Saw this week! Back again but driving the podcast-mobile this week is Monster Mash Mercer and he’s got all the inside info from James Wan’s directorial debut. With Ron and Adam by his side you’re certainly in for more treats than tricks but that doesn’t mean you’re in the clear just yet. There might even be some Jigsaw level hijinx in this podcast that you’ll have to look out for. Water Cooler: RIP Norm, Matrix Resurrection Trailer and a Miss Indiana Jones?
